Frederick resident Bryan Peter Lowery was arrested by deputies following a tip reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in February, the agency announced on Thursday, April 4.
The investigation by the Frederick County Sheriff Office's Internet Crimes Against Children Section determined that Lowery was in possession of files that showed indecent acts of child pornography, officials say, and they found at least five videos that had been downloaded onto his devices.
On Wednesday, deputies completed a search and seizure in the 5900 block of Ramseur Circle in Frederick, where they arrested Lowery without incident.
Lowery was charged with five separate counts of possession of child pornography. He was taken to the Frederik County Adult Detention Center to be booked.
